Sports Flooring & Resurfacing

Professional sanding, refinishing, screen coats, and maintenance for gymnasiums, basketball courts, roller rinks, and wood athletic floors.

Overview

Sports wood floors need the right balance of traction, resilience, and finish durability. We restore worn gymnasiums, courts, roller rinks, stages, and multipurpose floors with either a full sand-to-bare-wood refinish or a maintenance screen and recoat, selected after inspecting the wood, markings, and existing finish.

Choose the Right Restoration

Full Sanding or Screen & Recoat

The condition of the wood and finish determines the right process. We inspect first, then recommend only the work the floor needs.

Sand to Bare Wood

The complete reset for deeply worn finishes, exposed wood, heavy scratches, damaged markings, uneven color, or a new court design.

  1. 1Inspect the floor, fasteners, damaged boards, moisture, and existing game markings.
  2. 2Sand progressively to clean, bare wood with professional dust-control equipment.
  3. 3Repair boards and prepare a flat, uniform surface for the new design.
  4. 4Apply seal coats, court lines, logos, graphics, and approved color zones.
  5. 5Build protection with compatible sport-floor finish coats and proper cure time.

Screen & Recoat

Preventive maintenance for a sound floor that has lost gloss or traction but does not need stain, graphics, or bare wood corrected.

  1. 1Inspect the existing finish to confirm it is bonded and suitable for recoating.
  2. 2Lightly abrade the top finish layer so the fresh coat can bond securely.
  3. 3Vacuum and tack the entire floor until it is completely clean and dust-free.
  4. 4Apply a compatible sport-floor finish coat at the correct coverage rate.
  5. 5Protect the area through curing before reopening it for play or skating.
Performance & Care

A Floor Built for Safe, Consistent Play

A properly maintained sports finish protects the maple, supports predictable traction, and keeps the surface bright and easy to clean. High-use floors often need more frequent attention than lightly used facilities.

  • Reliable athletic traction
  • Protection from wear and spills
  • Clear game lines and graphics
  • Gloss levels matched to the facility
  • Maintenance scheduled around operations
  • Solutions for courts, rinks, and stages
